WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — October 16, 2026. The weekend is almost here, and Wesley Chapel residents have a little bit of everything to choose from: music, outdoor markets, seasonal celebrations and even the chance to get lost in a corn maze.
Some outings are free. Others require tickets or a little planning ahead. Here is your local guide to October 16–18.
Friday, October 16: Start the Weekend With Music
Karaoke Night at The Shops at Wiregrass
Friday evening offers an opportunity to enjoy community entertainment at The Shops at Wiregrass. The shopping center has scheduled its 3rd Friday Karaoke Night, inviting visitors to sing their favorite songs or enjoy watching others take the microphone.
For families, friends and couples looking for a relaxed outing, the event offers an alternative to a typical Friday night. Admission is free, and the event is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. in Center Court.
Saturday, October 17: Local Markets and Community Activities
Fresh Market at Wiregrass
For residents who enjoy shopping locally, Saturday morning brings the Fresh Market to Paseo Drive at The Shops at Wiregrass. Vendors typically offer produce, flowers, plants, crafts, prepared foods and other products.
Unlike a traditional shopping trip, an outdoor market gives residents an opportunity to meet vendors, browse handmade items and discover small businesses. Visitors can combine the outing with shopping and dining in the surrounding center.
The market is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with free admission. Purchases from vendors cost extra.
Fall Fest at Avalon Park
Families seeking a longer outing can head to Avalon Park Wesley Chapel, where Fall Fest 2026 is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The festival features vendors, food trucks, a pumpkin patch, children’s activities and live entertainment. A Kids Market is planned for 5–9 p.m., giving young entrepreneurs a chance to showcase their businesses.
The celebration is also featured in Wesley Chapel Today's separate Halloween special, which covers its attractions in greater detail.
Friday Through Sunday: A Farm Adventure Worth the Short Trip
Corn Mazes, Hayrides and Pumpkins at Sweetfields Farm
For families who want to venture beyond Wesley Chapel, Sweetfields Farm in the Masaryktown area offers a seasonal outdoor experience.
Its fall program includes corn mazes, hayrides, farm animals, play areas, farm activities and a pumpkin patch. Visitors can navigate trails through cornfields and enjoy hands-on outdoor activities for different ages.
Unlike the free events in Wesley Chapel, Sweetfields requires admission for visitors age three and older. Advance tickets are recommended because attendance is limited and dates may sell out.
For families looking to spend several hours outdoors, the farm offers a change of scenery from shopping centers and street festivals.
Sunday, October 18: Candy Crawl at Wiregrass
The Shops at Wiregrass will host its rescheduled Candy Crawl on Sunday, October 18. Children can enjoy trick-or-treating, costume activities, games and entertainment in an outdoor shopping-center setting.
Families may bring candy bags of their own, while organizers have announced complimentary bags while supplies last. The event offers a festive outing before Halloween itself and is discussed in more detail in the separate seasonal special.
How to Choose Your Weekend
Not every family wants the same kind of weekend. Residents seeking free evening entertainment may enjoy Friday karaoke night. Those interested in supporting vendors can start Saturday at the Fresh Market.
Families have multiple options, including Fall Fest and Sunday's Candy Crawl. Those seeking a longer outdoor adventure may prefer the corn mazes and farm activities at Sweetfields.
The good news is that enjoying the weekend does not require an elaborate plan. Sometimes getting outside, meeting neighbors and enjoying the community is enough.
Check Before You Go
Outdoor activities may change because of weather or other unexpected circumstances. Check organizers' websites before leaving, confirm tickets when required and plan extra travel time around busy shopping centers.
Comfortable shoes, water and a flexible schedule can make family outings easier, especially with younger children.
