WESLEY CHAPEL, FL - Wesley Chapel residents planning errands around county services should check ahead before heading out Monday, Oct. 12.

Pasco County Libraries list Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, as a Staff Development Day closure. According to the library system's holiday closing schedule, all Pasco County Libraries locations will be closed that day and will reopen at regular hours Tuesday, Oct. 13.

That includes the New River Branch Library on Wesley Chapel Boulevard and the Wesley Chapel Branch Library on Mystic Oak Boulevard.

The Pasco County Property Appraiser also lists Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, on its holiday schedule as Columbus Day.

Because local government offices, libraries and constitutional offices can follow different calendars, residents should not assume every office follows the same closure reason or schedule. The safest move is to check the specific office before making a trip, especially for time-sensitive services such as property records, permits, library holds, public records requests or in-person appointments.
