WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Wesley Chapel Station is moving forward at the intersection of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Aronwood Boulevard, bringing Whole Foods Market, Life Time and a growing lineup of restaurants and services to one of Wesley Chapel’s busiest commercial corridors.

The project is not a new announcement. SJC Ventures announced the start of construction in late 2025. But as the development progresses, project and leasing materials are providing a clearer picture of what residents can expect — while also showing that some details are still evolving.

Whole Foods Market remains one of the development’s major anchors, with Life Time planned on an adjacent parcel.

Restaurants and services associated with the project include CAVA, PopUp Bagels, Naked Farmer and Petfolk, while leasing materials show additional names including Chipotle, Piada, Hair Cuttery, Teachers Credit Union and Pacific Dental.

The first businesses have previously been projected to begin opening in 2027, although no specific opening date has been announced for Whole Foods.

Where is Wesley Chapel Station?

Wesley Chapel Station is being developed near the signalized intersection of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Aronwood Boulevard in Wesley Chapel, FL 33544, south of State Road 56.

The location places the project along a heavily traveled corridor surrounded by established residential communities and growing commercial development.

Different project materials have associated slightly different street addresses with the property, so the Bruce B. Downs and Aronwood intersection remains the clearest reference point for the development.

Whole Foods remains the centerpiece

For many residents, Whole Foods Market is likely to be the most anticipated part of Wesley Chapel Station.

The grocery chain continues to appear prominently in project materials as an anchor tenant.

There is, however, a difference in the reported size of the future store.

When the start of construction was announced in December 2025, project information described a 35,518-square-foot Whole Foods Market.

A leasing flyer associated with Wesley Chapel Station shows the Whole Foods space at 40,100 square feet.

The difference does not necessarily mean the store has expanded.

The two figures come from different project materials, and those documents do not provide enough information to determine whether the difference represents a revised design, a different measurement method or another change in the development plan.

For that reason, Wesley Chapel Today is treating both figures according to their original sources rather than describing one as a confirmed replacement for the other.

When will Whole Foods open?

That remains one of the biggest unanswered questions.

Earlier development information projected that the first stores at Wesley Chapel Station could begin opening in the second quarter of 2027.

That timeline applies to the development and should not be interpreted as an official Whole Foods grand-opening date.

Whole Foods Market has not announced a specific opening date for its Wesley Chapel location.

There is another date residents may encounter in project materials: a leasing document references delivery in the third quarter of 2026.

In a commercial development, however, delivery of space to a tenant can occur well before the business opens to customers. Interior construction, equipment installation, inspections, hiring and other preparations can still follow.

For residents, the important distinction is simple: a construction or tenant-delivery date is not necessarily a store-opening date.

Life Time adds another major destination

Life Time is planned for an adjacent parcel and will significantly increase the overall scale of the development.

As with Whole Foods, project materials contain slightly different figures for its size.

Earlier information described the facility at approximately 85,000 square feet, while leasing materials show approximately 84,280 square feet.

The difference is relatively small, but the Life Time facility should also be considered separately from the reported square footage of the Wesley Chapel Station retail center itself.

Together, Whole Foods and Life Time are expected to make the intersection a significant new destination along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

Restaurants and services are filling out the project

Beyond its two major anchors, Wesley Chapel Station is developing a mix of restaurants and everyday services.

When construction was announced, businesses associated with the project included PopUp Bagels, CAVA, Naked Farmer, Petfolk and The Tox, along with a nail salon.

Leasing materials show a broader mix that also includes Chipotle, Piada, Hair Cuttery, Teachers Credit Union, Aria Nail and Pacific Dental.

That distinction matters.

A business identified in an announcement and one appearing on a leasing plan do not necessarily represent the same stage of commitment, and neither should automatically be interpreted as having a confirmed opening date.

Tenant lineups can also change as a development moves through construction and leasing.

Still, the growing list provides residents with a much clearer idea of the type of destination Wesley Chapel Station is becoming.

Why Wesley Chapel Station matters

Wesley Chapel’s commercial growth has been especially visible along State Road 56, around Wiregrass and near Interstate 75.

Wesley Chapel Station adds another major commercial destination farther south along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

The combination is notable: grocery shopping, fitness, restaurants, personal services and other businesses concentrated around the same intersection.

For residents in nearby communities, that could mean more everyday shopping and dining options closer to home.

It also represents another step in the continued transformation of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard as Wesley Chapel grows.

What happens next

Whole Foods Market is part of the Wesley Chapel Station project. Life Time is planned next door. Restaurants and service businesses are filling out the development.

What residents do not have yet is a final opening schedule.

The first store openings have previously been projected for 2027, but individual businesses may follow different timelines.

The Whole Foods opening date remains unannounced, the tenant lineup can still change, and public project materials currently show different figures for some building sizes.

Those are the details Wesley Chapel Today will continue to monitor as construction progresses.

When Whole Foods announces an opening date — or when the developer provides a significant update to the project — we’ll report it.

Reporting Note

Development plans can change during construction. Tenant names, square footage and schedules cited in this report reflect information contained in publicly available project and leasing materials. Where those materials differ, Wesley Chapel Today has preserved that distinction rather than treating one figure as a confirmed replacement for another.
