A regional Special Olympics event in Wesley Chapel

The Fall Classic is organized through Special Olympics Florida's West Coast Region, which includes Pasco County along with several other counties across Florida's Gulf Coast.

Special Olympics Florida operates local programs throughout the region, offering athletes opportunities to participate in sports during different seasons of the year.

In Pasco County, the organization's fall-season offerings include several sports. However, Special Olympics Florida's official listing for today's West Coast Region Fall Classic does not identify which specific sports will be contested at the Wesley Chapel event.

For that reason, Wesley Chapel Today is not listing individual sports as part of today's competition unless additional information is confirmed by the organizer.

Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus hosts the competition

Today's Fall Classic brings the regional event to one of Wesley Chapel's major sports facilities.

Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus regularly hosts tournaments, competitions and community sporting events and lists the Special Olympics West Coast Region Fall Classic as its scheduled event for Oct. 3.

The competition is scheduled to continue throughout the day, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
