Friday’s outdoor concert features guest performers G Pinto and Luke McMaster. Reserved seating and the VIP meet-and-greet are sold out, but complimentary open seating remains an option.
WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Friday night’s plans could be as simple as packing a lawn chair. Guitarist Pavlo will perform at The Shops at Wiregrass on October 23, bringing his Mediterranean sound to Center Court for an evening with complimentary open seating.
The shopping center lists reserved seats and the VIP meet-and-greet as sold out. For residents considering the concert, that does not mean they have missed their chance to attend: the organizer still advertises a free seating area where visitors can bring their own chairs or picnic blankets.
A Sound Shaped by More Than One Shore
Born in Toronto to Greek parents, Pavlo built his musical identity around a blend of Greek, flamenco, Latin and Balkan influences, connected by contemporary pop melodies.
His official biography traces his introduction to guitar to age ten, when an older cousin showed him a Beatles riff. Before developing his own style, he explored classical music and flamenco and played in rock and wedding bands.
Summers in Greece helped give that musical search a direction. His biography describes how Santorini inspired “Santorini Sunset,” a composition featuring the Greek bouzouki that helped him recognize the sound he wanted to pursue.
For listeners unfamiliar with his work, that background offers a useful introduction: Pavlo’s music draws from several traditions rather than fitting neatly into one category.
A Familiar Face for Public Television Viewers
Some residents may recognize Pavlo from his televised concerts. His projects include Live in Kastoria, Live in Guadalajara and Live in Santorini, placing his performances in settings across Greece and Mexico.
Those productions offer a way to discover his music before Friday. PBS’s presentation of Live in Santorini, for example, features compositions inspired by the island alongside familiar selections.
The Wiregrass concert brings the experience closer to home, with an outdoor setting and a complimentary attendance option.
The Evening Starts With Violin and Vocals
G Pinto opens the announced program, followed by singer-songwriter Luke McMaster.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, violinist Grenville “G” Pinto began playing at seven. His official biography describes training through the Royal Conservatory of Music and experience as a member of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra.
His repertoire reaches beyond classical music into pop, rhythm and blues, rock and other genres. That range makes the violin an introduction to a broader musical evening rather than a signal that the program will stay within a traditional classical format.
McMaster adds a singer-songwriter performance before the headline act. His own work also explores the connections between soul, pop and the Motown tradition.
