WESLEY CHAPEL, FL - Pasco County residents should plan ahead for a round of county service closures on Monday, October 12, when Board of County Commissioners offices close for Staff Development Day.

The closure affects BCC government offices, Pasco County Libraries, parks and recreation offices, recreation complex buildings and community centers.

County parks and beaches will remain open to the public from dawn to dusk.

GoPasco will continue regular transportation service, including fixed-route and demand response service. However, GoPasco administrative offices will be closed.

Animal Services will also be affected. The county says the Animal Services Administration Office, Adoption Center, Intake/Reclaim Shelter and Field Services will be closed. An Animal Control Officer will be available for emergencies only.

Trash and recovery services have some limits as well. The Pasco County Resource Recovery Facility, West Pasco Class III and the East Pasco Transfer Station will be closed to the public. They will remain open to Pasco County licensed commercial haulers.

The county says BCC government offices will reopen Tuesday, October 13.

For Wesley Chapel residents, the big items are libraries, county offices and community centers. Anyone who needs county paperwork, library service, recreation office help or Animal Services support should take care of it before Monday or wait until the county reopens Tuesday.

The closure does not mean all county-related activity stops. Public transit is still scheduled to operate, and parks remain available during normal public hours.
