The schedule released Monday includes two Planning Commission sessions and one Board of County Commissioners meeting. The meetings are open to the public, will be streamed live and allow in-person or virtual comments under county participation rules.

Pasco County released its official November 2026 public meeting and hearing schedule on Monday, October 26. The calendar includes three meetings where county planning, development and government decisions may move forward in public view.

The first Planning Commission meeting will be held Thursday, November 5, at 1:30 p.m. in Dade City. The Board of County Commissioners, known as the BCC, will meet Tuesday, November 17, at 10 a.m., also in Dade City. A second Planning Commission session is scheduled for Thursday, November 19, at 1:30 p.m. in New Port Richey.

What Each Body Does

The Planning Commission serves as Pasco County's local planning agency. It holds hearings and reviews matters including zoning changes, conditional uses and amendments to planned developments. Depending on the type of request, the commission may issue a decision or forward a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners.

The BCC is the county's legislative and policymaking body. Its five commissioners establish policy, approve the budget and consider decisions involving development, infrastructure, public services and other areas of Pasco County government.

Not every November meeting will directly involve Wesley Chapel. Specific agendas are published separately and should be checked before each meeting. Still, following the process matters because county-level decisions can affect growth, traffic, services and planning in unincorporated communities such as Wesley Chapel.

How to Participate Virtually

To provide public comment online, a resident must complete the Virtual Public Comment Form or call the Customer Service Center at 727-847-2411. Registration must be completed by 4 p.m. on the day before the selected meeting.

A separate registration is required for each meeting. After registering, the participant receives access instructions and must join the virtual session 15 minutes before it begins. Anyone who misses the deadline may still watch the broadcast but will not be placed in the virtual public-comment queue.

In-Person Participation and Email Comments

Residents may also attend in person and speak when recognized during the public-comment portion of a meeting. The county advises attendees to arrive early, follow posted rules and identify the agenda item they wish to address.

Comments and supporting materials may be emailed to pcadmin@mypasco.net. Pasco County says those messages are forwarded to Board members. However, emails are not read aloud during meetings and are not automatically included in the official record unless authorized by the body.

Meetings will also be carried on Pasco County's website, the county's official YouTube channel and local Spectrum channel 643 and Verizon channel 42. Watching does not require registration; advance registration is required only for those who want to participate in virtual public comment.

Why Residents Should Follow the Process Early

When a project reaches the news after approval, the most useful stage for public participation may already have passed. Agendas, staff reports and hearings allow residents to understand a request, confirm its location, evaluate potential impacts and state their position before a decision.

For Wesley Chapel, which continues to add neighborhoods, schools, shopping centers and road projects, following these meetings provides a direct view of how growth is being evaluated. Not every agenda will produce a major headline. Some, however, help determine the next one.
