Pasco County offices, libraries and recreation buildings will close Monday for Staff Development Day
WESLEY CHAPEL, FL - Pasco County residents should plan ahead for a temporary countywide service closure next week.
Pasco County Board of County Commissioners offices will be closed Monday, October 12, 2026, for Staff Development Day. County government offices are scheduled to reopen Tuesday, October 13.
The closure will affect several public services that Wesley Chapel residents may use during a normal weekday.
Pasco County Libraries will be closed for the day. Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources offices, recreation complex buildings and community centers will also be closed, according to the county. Parks and beaches, however, will remain open to the public from dawn to dusk.
GoPasco fixed-route and demand-response transportation services will continue operating on a regular schedule. GoPasco administrative offices will be closed.
Pasco County Animal Services will also close its administration office, adoption center, intake/reclaim shelter and field services for regular operations. An Animal Control Officer will remain available for emergencies only.
The Resource Recovery Facility, West Pasco Class III landfill and East Pasco Transfer Station will be closed to the public. They will remain open to Pasco County licensed commercial haulers.
For Wesley Chapel residents, the practical takeaway is simple: handle county office, library, animal services or solid waste needs before Monday if they require in-person help. Transportation service will still run, and parks remain available.
County services are expected to resume normal operations Tuesday, October 13.
